Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of Clode (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This is a plain-language document written to match how the product actually works. It is not legal advice.
1. The Service
Clode connects to Google Search Console, read-only and with your permission, and turns your data into groupings, analytics, coverage reports, keyword tracking, alerts and a daily history. There is a free plan and a paid plan; our pricing page says what each includes, and section 4 what paying involves.
2. Your account and connected properties
Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details safe, and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what teammates you invite do. You must be at least 16.
When you connect a property, you authorise Clode to read its Search Console data for you, read-only, and you confirm you are allowed to grant that access. We cannot change your properties, sitemaps or settings. You can withdraw access at any time, as the Privacy Policy explains.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect properties you do not own or are not authorised to manage;
- use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- try to disrupt, overload or probe the Service, or get around its security;
- reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the Service, except where the law allows;
- use our confidential information to build a competing product.
4. Prices, payment and refunds
Prices. The free plan costs nothing and does not expire. Paid prices are on our pricing page, in euros (EUR), and include any VAT we must charge. Nothing is added at checkout, though your bank may add a currency conversion fee.
Paying by card. Stripe handles card payments as a subscription: charged when you subscribe, then renewed every month or every year, as you chose, until you cancel. It covers every site on your account. While it renews, adding a site charges the difference for the rest of the period straight away, and you see that amount before you confirm; removing one lowers the price no later than the next day, and the unused part of the period becomes a credit on your next invoice. You can switch between monthly and yearly billing on the Plan & billing page in your account menu. If you move to a card while a crypto period is running, the card is first charged when that period ends.
Cancelling. Cancel at any time from the Plan & billing page: the paid plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing more is charged. Deleting your account cancels the subscription at once.
Failed payments, and when a subscription ends. If a card payment fails, we email you and retry once a day for 5 days with the service unchanged, and then the subscription ends. When a subscription ends (cancelled, unpaid or refunded), the account moves to the free plan: one site keeps syncing, the others are paused, and everything stored is kept for 3 months so you can subscribe again or export it. Then history older than 14 days is deleted.
Paying with crypto. Crypto payments are handled by PayerURL. The invoice is in euros, converted by PayerURL to your coin at its own rate, and you pay the network fee on top. A payment buys a fixed 30 or 365 days for the sites active on your account when you pay. It never renews, and we email you 7 days and again 1 day before it ends. A site that was paused when you paid, or added later, stays paused until you pay for the days left (a top-up) or move to a card. If you do not renew, the account moves to the free plan on the day the period ends, and history older than 14 days is deleted.
Refunds. Payments are final and are not refunded, including for the unused part of a period or credit left over from a switch to monthly billing, when you cancel or delete your account. When you subscribe, you ask for the paid plan to start straight away, and you confirm that at checkout. This does not take away any right to a refund or to withdraw that the law where you live gives you.
Price changes. We announce any price change at least 30 days before it takes effect, on our pricing page and by email to paying customers. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for; a card subscription moves to the new price at its first renewal after the change, and you can cancel before then.
Fair use. We may set reasonable technical limits, such as how often you can re-sync by hand, because the Search Console API quota is shared by all users.
5. Your data
Your Search Console data and what you create (groupings, notes, watchlists, settings) stay yours. We process them only to provide the Service, as the Privacy Policy describes, and you can export your reports to CSV and delete your data at any time.
Long-term history. History older than the free plan's 14 days is a paid feature, kept for a rolling 24 months while you are on the paid plan; section 4 says what happens to it when the plan ends.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We keep developing it, so features may be added, changed, suspended or removed, and we do not guarantee uptime or that data will always be complete or error-free (Search Console data itself lags and is subject to Google's own limits). We will try to give notice of significant changes.
7. Disclaimers, liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
You are responsible for the decisions you make based on the Service's reports, and you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms or of the law, or your connecting properties you are not authorised to access.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or put others or the Service at risk. Terms that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limits of liability) survive the end of the agreement.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts there have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you additional rights.
10. General
Intellectual property. The Service, its software, design and the Clode name belong to us; you may only use the Service as intended.
Changes. We may update these Terms, changing the date above and giving more prominent notice of material changes. Using the Service after an update means you accept it.
Everything else. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it, and no one else has rights under these Terms.
